Rezerwat - Preserve
Poland - Lukasz Palkowski

Scene from "Rezerwat"
After the separation from his fiancee and after being evicted from his posh middle class apartment, Marcin, a young photographer, strands in Praga, a run-down, notorious district in Warsaw, Poland. When moving in, somebody throws a stone and destroys his beautiful mirror. Marcin meets Ginger, the "enfant terrible" in the neighbourhood, who will kepp him on the go from now on but will also help him to feel at home. And then there is Hanka, the all dolled up hairdresser, mesmerizing him with her flashy erotic charisma. A story about arrival and finding one's way, about the pleasures of neighbourhood which is just a "village in the city". A film about today's Poland, too, and about rediscovering things that are hidden under prejudices.
