Wino Truskawkowe - Strawberry Wine

According to several geographical calculations, the Polish province of Galicia is the true centre of Europe. To young police officer Andrzej it equals degradation however to be transferred to this remote country where only the region's strawberry wine is worth mentioning. But one day, at the feet of a waterfall, he meets Lubica who makes him a charming erotic offer he cannot refuse. When she suddenly dies Andrzej has to face the painful research: was it death by raging passion, or jealousy, or does it have a depper meaning? Andrzej understands that his love affair was more than a love story, that behind every funny remark, a truth lurches, that he is not the only one confused by the plain beauty of nature and that the appearance of a ghost that only he is able to see is not really surprising and can even be helpful. Director Dariusz Jablonski was Krzystof Kieslowski's cameraman and founded the Polish Film centre. "Wino Truskawkowe" is his first-time feature film.
