Xi gan dao - The Western Trunk Line

A small town in central China, close to the westbound railroad. Trains come and go. 18-years-old Siping has set up his own private and special world in an old warehouse where he tends to spend entire days. He receives radio signals from all over the world and listens to the mysterious noises of the rails. One day Xueyan arrives by train, a girl from Beijing, and she starts spinning his world. Little brother Fantou, 11 years old, is attracted by her as well and jealously notices Siping’s glances at the girl. She turns out to be the daughter of a known counter-revolutionary….
