After his brother has died in Albania, 15-years-old Mirush goes on the search for his father all alone. He is supposed to work at a pizza joint in Norway. In the beginning, he does not reveal his identity, he naturally wants to win the affection of the man who has left the family when Mirush was a little boy. Mirush has idealised the missing father and now meets him working as a small employee at the restaurant, under pressure and hardly having control over his life. The Albanian mafia is menacing him and Mirush has reason to be afraid as well. Mirush, driven by his yearn for love and his fear of being rejected, experiences the vicissitudes of emigration until his father eventually recognizes him and opens his heart to him.
