Sofia is anxious to make her mother's last days as liveable as possible. When the mother dies, Sofia suffers a deep crisis. At her mother's house in Barcelona, she receives a letter from Chile "returned to sender". It's a letter which shows that her mother had found the love of her life in the Aracama desert. She takes her mother's ashes and travels to Chile in order to comply with her mother's last wish: to disperse her ashes in the desert. On her way, she meets rebellious Nadia, and Gustavo who is hiding a dark past.
Sofia is able to overcome her personal grief with surprising, tragic and funny insights. whre does the journey actually go? Back to what really counts! But that's what Sofia has to find out herself step by step during this road-movie.
