Uden for Kaerligheden - Outside Love

Schmuli is a safety officer at a Jewish school in Copenhagen. He raises his little son alone after the death of his wife. He lives at his tradition-conscious Jewish parents’ crowded house and adjusts to their milieu although he is not overly religious. Until one day he meets Amina, a young woman from Pakistan who manages a small specialty shop. A Muslima and a Jewish man with a child? Their love appears to be quite doomed from the beginning with both families building up walls and strict “apartheid”. Schmuli and Amina however fight for their future.
A touching and realistic parol for the "human factor" in political conflicts. Director Daniel Espinosa knows what he talks about. A Swedish-Chilean filmmaker he has a Jewish mother and studied at the Danish film school.
