Ai Qing de ya chi - Teeth of love

Stories about the vicissitudes of life of a character during the period of time between Mao’s death in 1976 and the economic liberalisation in the 80s is almost a genre of its own in China. This film the protagonist, a young woman, who experiences the dramatic political changes as a series of love accidents leaving new traumas on her soul each time. She was a gang leader when she was younger, then studied medicine before becoming a factory worker and then ending up a an unhappy marriage with a child.
